Committees Publicity Committee Ken Showler kbshowle (at) mtu.edu Publicity and Communications will work towards raising awareness of TBP as a campus and community organization. One idea is to build an overnighter statue of the TBP bent during Winter Carnival. There is also talk of seeking corporate sponsorship to construct a statue of the bent on campus.
Social Committee Matthew Keinath mjkeinat (at) mtu.edu The social committee plans our social events (BBQs, bowling, etc). Plans for this year include tailgating a hockey game. Contact Matthew if you have any ideas for a social or if you would like to be on the planning committee.
Initiation/Membership Committee Dan Sauer dmsauer (at) mtu.edu The initiation/membership committee handles the details of membership in TBP and coordinates the initiation ceremonies for new TBP members. Nels needs a couple more people to help out on this committee, so contact him if you are interested.
National Engineering Week (NEW) Committee Joe Licavoli jjlicavo (at) mtu.edu The National Engineering Week (NEW) committee is involved in the networking of various other engineering societies from many disciplines to plan and implement events for National Engineering Week. The NEW committee more or less serves as the means by which to get the ball rolling on this new campus event and will sustain it in the future.
Scholar's Night Dinner Committee Claire Adams cnadams (at) mtu.edu and Aaron Linford amlinfor (at) mtu.edu The Scholar's Night committee plans and runs the annual Scholar's Night Dinner. This is the 3rd year for the dinner that will honor students on the Dean's List for consecutive semesters. The committee has already been working on this year's event, and will be having weekly meetings. Anybody who wants to help out can contact Claire or Aaron.
Service Committee Patrick Quimby pdquimby (at) mtu.edu The service committee will handle the coordination of all of our service projects. The main project we are involved in every year is the Friends of the Van Pelt Library Book Sale. If anyone has any ideas for potential service projects, or would like to join the committee, contact Pat.
